This is the second collection Ive read of Chetwynd-Hayes ghost stories and it is definitely a more mixed bag than the one tat got me hooked - A Quiver of Ghosts. Most of these short stories are much longer, almost novella length, without always warranting the extra length. I read a ghost story for the ghost, but there are a few stories here where the ghost is very slow to put in an appearance. However, Im merely pointing out its deficiencies in comparison with his other stories which genuinely creep me out, on the whole this is still a solid collection and his writing style is as addictive as ever, Ghosts From the Mists of Time by R. Chetwynd-Hayes
